Andrew P. “Phil” Sobczak, age 57 of Port Vue, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at his home. Born May 10, 1959 in McKeesport, he was the son of Raymond M. Sobczak and the late Mary E. (Chapaylo) Sobczak. Andrew was a graduate of Rosedale Technical Institute specializing in automotive mechanics and diesel technology. He was a certified PA state inspection mechanic currently working as an automotive fleet technician for Iron City Uniform Co. in Pittsburgh. He was a long time member of Corpus Christi Parish, formerly St. Mary Czestochowa Parish. In addition to his father, he is survived by his brother, Dennis R. (the late Lynn) Sobczak of Elizabeth; nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 6-9 p.m. and Sunday, August 14, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, August 15, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church.
