Beverly Jean "BJ" (Smith) Budka, age 61 of McKeesport, died February 6, 2016 at Jefferson Hospital. Born April 9, 1954 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (Pugh) Smith, and beloved wife of the late Marty J. Budka. BJ worked for Bechtel Bettis Corporation where she retired from after many years of service. In her free time, she loved golfing, camping, and enjoying all aspects of the outdoors. Her epic 4th of July picnics in Marty and BJ's yard will be forever remembered and cherished. She is survived by her siblings, Dan (June) Yerkey of Maryland, Janet (Jack) Mackenzie of Florida, and Sherry (Vince) McGraw of Harrisburg, PA; nieces and nephews, Melissa, Kristy, Scott, Jason, Ben, Becky, and Jesse; also survived by her great-nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. She also leaves behind her precious pups, Minnie and Lucy, who were very dear to her heart. Friends and family will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 5-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 10 a.m. in Corpus Christi Church. Fr. Michael Maranowski will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Mary Polish Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to Jamie's Dream Team or to the Gray Paws Sanctuary.
