Jane Marie (Boes) McGinty, age 79 of McKeesport, died February 4, 2016 at her home. Born in West Newton, she was the daughter of the late Rheinhold J. and Ruth (Hough) Boes, and beloved wife of James J. McGinty. Janie worked for Bell Telephone where she retired after 31 years of service. She loved to spend time gardening, planting flowers, and beautifully decorating her home. She was a long time member of Corpus Christi Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her nieces, Cynthia Childers and Amy (Phil) Hammonds; great-nephews and niece, Roy Childers, Ian and Kaitlyn Hammonds; sisters-in-law, Bernadette McGinty and Ella Jean (Robert) Cindric; also many nieces, nephews, and her good friends, Patty and Jessica Franklin and Dolores and Joannie Floriani. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harry (Laura) Boes, and her beloved dog, Mitzi. Family and friends will be received Monday, February 8, 2016 from 11 a.m. until time of Blessing Service at 12 p.m. at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home and Crematory. Fr. Michael Maranowski will officiate. Entombment will follow at Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the American Lung Association, 810 River Ave., Suite 140, Pgh, PA 15212 or to the White Oak Animal Safe Haven, 2295 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131.
