Joy L. Moffat

Joy L. Moffat, age 79, of McKeesport, died February 28, 2018, at Riverside Care Center. Born August 28, 1938, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late David and Hannah (Norton) Lindberg and the wife of the late Charles W. Moffat. Joy dedicated her life to caring for her family. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and scrap booking. She is survived by children, Debra (Mark) Steele of Irwin and Charles Moffat of McKeesport; grandchildren, Stephanie (William Byers) Moffat of Glassport, Sameka (Petros) Goro of Irwin and Derek (Beverly) Steele of Pittsburgh; great grandchildren, Felicity, Cassidy and Jayda Byers, Fotini and Themistokles Goro; brother, David (Anita) Lindberg of Canonsburg; also nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Joy was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Lindberg. Family and friends will gather graveside at McKeesport & Versailles Cemetery, on Friday, March 9, 2018, 12:00 p.m., for a celebration of life service. Inurnment will follow. Arrangements were entrusted to Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory.
