Vivian S. "Winnie" Magaw, age 98 of White Oak, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at UPMC McKeesport. Born November 12, 1918 in Jeannette, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Irene (Eisaman) Smith, and loving wife of the late Harry T. Magaw. Winnie was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church in McKeesport where she enjoyed being part of the former Welcome Club and spending time with her church family. She was also active in the White Oak AARP #2294. The many day trips where she could sightsee, whether it be a new place or old, were some of her favorite pastimes. Above all, she was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and always cherished the time spent with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Richard) Kormos of Versailles and Kevin Magaw of White Oak; grandchildren, Patrick (Sara) Kormos of Boise, ID and Bethany Kormos of Boston, MA; great-grandsons, Alexander and Howard Kormos; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her siblings. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be Monday, December 12, 2016 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Debbie Kociban will officiate. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the First United Methodist Church, 1406 Cornell St., McKeesport, PA 15132 or to a charity of your choice.
