Dakota James Barnes

Dakota James Barnes, age 25, of McKeesport, died November 24, 2019. Born October 10, 1994, in McKeesport, he was the son of Ronald and Angela (Cannon) Barnes. Dakota was currently working for Murin & Murn Inc., where he did construction and excavating. Prior to that, he worked at Waste Management of North Huntingdon, with three years of service. He was a graduate of McKeesport High School, Class of 2013. Dakota enjoyed weight lifting, outdoor life, and spending time with friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by sister, Brandi (Daniel Wilson) Barnes of Dravosburg; half-siblings, Brent and Joy McGivern of CA; maternal grandmother, Marlene Cannon of McKeesport; aunts and uncles, Susan (Tom) Harris of North Huntingdon, Rich (Gloria) Barnes of McKeesport, Jim Barnes of Port Vue, Joyce (Rodger) Garst of NC, Karen (John) Bittner of Elizabeth and Nancy Horrell of NC; cousins, Samantha (John) Yost of North Huntingdon, Danielle and Sydney Harris both of North Huntingdon.
He was also preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Joe Cannon; paternal grandmother, Betty Barnes.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, November 29, 2019, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 until the time of service at 7:30 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Chandler Wolf and William Meekins will officiate.
