Doris Torrence, age 89 of McKeesport, died September 13, 2017 at Riverside Care Center. Born December 6, 1927 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Naomi (Shanley) Maneer, and wife of the late John Robert Torrence.  Doris was active within the Hope U.M.C. as a layperson and as a Sunday school teacher.  She was also active with both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.  She is survived by sons, John J. (Bonnie) and Robert L. (Cherri) Torrence; grandchildren, Timothy, Kimberly (Kenneth) Thornton, Clinton, Mari, Amy, and Terrence and great-granddaughter, Iliana and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by son, Thomas F. ( living Bonnie) Torrence; granddaughter, Bonnie Jean and sister, Joan (Birchall) (McGrew) Dasta.  Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 2 until the time of the funeral service at 6 p.m. Condolences may be shared at www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com
