Dustin Jay Rivera, 36, of Munhall, passed away unexpectedly on September 9, 2017.  Born July 11, 1981, he was the son Valerie Mahmoud and Ramon Rivera, Sr.  He was the father of Marie Jane Lekovich.  Dustin was recently engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Diahana Rea.  Known as “Dud” to his friends, he was raised Catholic and selected Simon for his confirmation name. Dustin grew up in Dravosburg, PA and graduated from McKeesport Area High School. He attended Vale Technical Institute. Dustin never met an animal that he did not like or that did not like him. He leaves behind his beloved pitbull, Dexter. Music was also an integral part of his life. Dustin played guitar, sang, and was a member of numerous bands over the years. He was known for his ever present smile, generosity, sense of humor, fun-loving nature, and quick wit.
In addition to those mentioned above, he is survived by his brothers, Tony and Jesse (Tione) Rivera; grandparents, Marvin Sr. and Marianne Herren and Lydia Rivera; step-children, Robert Nance, Jacob and Dannee Rea; niece, Aria; nephew, Ramon III; uncles, Jim, John, and Marvin Jr., Herren; and cousins, Nicole Herren, John Herren, Jr., Marvin III and Christopher Herren.
