Elsie J. Stroka

Elsie J. Stroka, age 84, of White Oak, formerly of McKeesport, died Nov. 30, 2018, at her home.  Born June 28, 1934, in Sagamore, she was a daughter of the late Emanuel and Mary Ann (Steish) Stroka.
"Aunt Elsie" was a second mother to her beloved nieces, Darlene Aigner, Denise Lang and Kim (Dan) Winters.  She never missed a family event.  Aunt Elsie was the perfect shopping buddy, enjoyed playing cards and bingo and listening to Polka.  While she could be relied upon for social events, Aunt Elsie made sure her family knew right from wrong.  She was a faithful member of St. Angela Merici Church and wouldn't miss Mass, even if it had to be on television.
Survivors include nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by siblings, John Stroka, Margaret Del Duca, Ann Vargo, Verna Waczak, Dorothy Hixson and Violet Steligo.
Family and friends will be welcomed at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday from 10-11 a.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Angela Merici Church at noon.  Inurnment will be at a later date, beside her beloved parents, at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Crabtree.  In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Angela Merici Church.  Memories and condolences may be shared at www.Jaycox-Jaworskifh.com
