It is with deepest heartache that we announce the passing of our wonderful husband and amazing father and grandfather, Jere David Moffatt, age 83 of North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania on July 5, 2018. He was born on October 31, 1934 in McKeesport, PA to the late Clarence David and Ruth (Prescott) Moffatt. Jere was raised in 10th Ward, McKeesport, where he was baptized and remained a life-long member of West Side United Methodist Church.
He was a graduate of McKeesport Area High School, Class of 1952 and a proud Navy Veteran. A past president of the McKeesport Multi-list, and an Associate Broker and Certified Residential Appraiser with The Realty Company of White Oak prior to his semi-retirement.
He is survived by his loving wife Patricia Cottone Moffatt; daughters, Lori Moffatt, Lynn Scherle (Derek), Jill Alessandro (Joseph) and son, Lee Moffatt (Lisa), all of North Huntingdon, PA; grandchildren, Shayley Volk (PJ), Ciara and Capri Sherbondy, MaKenna Sinchar, Cody Scherle, Joey and Gionna Alessandro, Jakob, Zachary, Zaria and Gemma Moffatt; brother-in-law, Bill Cottone (Linda) of Winterhaven, Florida.
The highlight of his week were Sundays, which began with a church service followed by the whole family in his home enjoying a home-cooked meal made by his loving wife and the evening ending with playing cards and enjoying the laughter.
