Joanne M. (Dudek) Wassel

It is with great sadness that Joanne M. (Dudek) Wassel, 61, of McKeesport has passed peacefully at her home on November 20th, 2018, surrounded and comforted by her family who loved her deeply. She was born March 21, 1957 to the late Peter and Carmella (Princeton) Dudek of McKeesport. Joanne was the devoted mother of Melina Frazee and loving sister to Michele Dudek of Liberty Borough, Michael (Debbie) Dudek of Harrison City, and Daniel (Audra/deceased) Dudek of McKeesport, as well as the late Tom Dudek of Port Vue. She was an amazing aunt to Matthew (Lindsay), Cara (Jason), Michael (Mateya), Tyler, DJ, and Noah. She had lived long enough to be the great aunt to Abby, Guilliana, Camella, Gwendolyn, and Michael Beckham. She never stopped spoiling all of her kids. Prior to retirement, Joanne worked for numerous years as an administrative assistant and then as an insurance agent for Prudential Insurance, White Oak. Joanne’s passion for cooking and baking was always the highlight of family gatherings. The kitchen was her castle in which she happily ruled. She was the best of the best at what she loved to do. The delicious dinners and treats will be missed greatly by all of her family. In her spare time, Joanne would spend countless hours, even weekends at a time, creating scrapbooks to preserve the memories experienced with all of her family members. Additionally, she loved attending bingo with her closest friends. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, November 23, 2018, from 2 p.m. until the time of blessing service at 7:30 p.m., in the funeral home chapel.
