Robert J. "BB" Franklin

Robert J. "BB" Franklin, age 62, of McKeesport, died June 18, 2018, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Born August 17, 1955, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Richard and Lois Jean (Mackey) Franklin. Bobby was a retired brick layer. He was member of the Bricklayers & Allied Craft Workers Union, Local #9. He enjoyed fishing and traveling. Bobby was truly a giving person, he volunteered his time and craft going on mission trips to the Dominican Republic, where he helped build homes for the poor. Bobby is survived his daughter, Emily Franklin of McKeesport; brothers, David of Georgia and William of McKeesport; nieces, Ericka, Nicole and Charissa; also great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his brother, Richard. Family and friends will be received at the Rainbow Temple Assembly of God Church, 536 Shaw Ave., McKeesport, PA 15132, on Friday, June 22, 2018, from 11 a.m. until the time of memorial service at Noon. Pastor Pete Giacalone will officiate. Arrangements were entrusted to Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory. Inurnment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date.
