Samuel T. Rose, Jr., age 71, of North Huntingdon, died, December 20, 2019, at UPMC McKeesport. Born January 17, 1948, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Samuel T. Sr., and Daisy (Hutchison) Rose and the husband of Bonnie (Konopka) Rose.
Sam retired from CVS, and before that, he worked at WABCO. He was a US Navy veteran, stationed in Ethiopia during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed golfing, billiards, watching football, and a toast with friends. His greatest joy was spending time with family.
In addition to his wife, Sam is survived by his sons, Samuel M. of Atlanta, GA, and Douglas A. (Laura) of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren, Fiona, Avery, and C.J. Jennings; sister, Patricia Brenneman of Lancaster, PA; nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Rose.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, December 29, 2019, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, at 10 a.m., in the funeral home chapel.
Entombment will follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park Mausoleum.
