Sandra Ann Brooks

Sandra Ann Brooks, age 70, of McKeesport, passed away at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with ALS on December 9, 2018 . Born September 3,1948, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Frances (Kruczek) Bondi, Sr., and the wife of Ronald Brooks, for over 46 years. Sandra retired from Mt. Vernon Elementary School, where she was a teacher. She was a member of St. Angela Merici Church. Sandra enjoyed antiquing, crafting, and traveling. Although her greatest joy was caring for her loving family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Justin Ronald and Maria (Rossi) Brooks of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Lorenzo and Octavia; brother, Donald Bondi, Jr., of McKeesport; nieces, Darlene Marcus-Sayles and Kim Bondi; nephews, James and Jeffrey Marcus; also many cousins and friends. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Dolores (Bondi) Marcus; her brother-in-law, Walter Marcus; sister-in-law, Claudia Bondi. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, 10 a.m., at St. Angela Merici Church. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery.
