Albert Szirmae Obituary

Albert Keith Szirmae, age 66, of White Oak, passed into Glory on April 4, 2020, at UPMC McKeesport. Born December 29, 1953, in Fort Knox, KY. He was the husband of Jayne Claire (Spate) Szirmae and the son of the late Joseph Henry and Dolores (Berta) Szirmae.
Keith recently retired from Amore Management Co., where he was the head groundskeeper. He was a member of the former Hope United Methodist Church and a proud member of the McKeesport United Methodist Shared Ministries. He was the Choir Director at First United Methodist Church and was also active with the Christy Park United Methodist Church Children's Ministries. Keith enjoyed spreading the word of God through his music and played with local religious band Chalice. He had a great love for the outdoors and gardening. It wouldn't be unusual to see him skateboarding down the front street or kicking his soccer ball in the front yard, or even cycling on the trail. Keith loved his family, loved life, and lived it to the fullest.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his sons, Nicholas (Savannah Keibler), Sandor (Megan Skiba), and Jacob (Erin) all of McKeesport; sisters, Regina Honse of Sheffield lake, OH, and Judy (Chet) Berg of Elizabeth; brothers, Jon (Sue) Spate of Belle Vernon, and Jim (Cindy) Spate of White Oak; also cousins, nieces and nephews.
Private arrangements were entrusted to Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial was in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park. A memorial service will be celebrated at First United Methodist Church at a later date.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Christy Park United Methodist Church, Children, and Youth Ministries, 436 29th St., McKeesport, PA 15132.
