Amy L. Loeffler, age 95, of North Huntingdon, died at home on May 1, 2023. Born March 7, 1928, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Emmett and Isabelle (Trayers) Nelson and the wife of the late Charles L. Loeffler for 44 years.
Amy dedicated her life to caring for her family and the home her husband built. She was a member of the Circleville United Methodist Church. Amy was an animal lover and, in her free time, enjoyed tending to her flowers and her yard. She enjoyed watching sports, especially Duke basketball. When she was younger, she loved to go roller skating, where she met her husband.
Amy is survived by her children, Tom (Barbara) Loeffler, Cheryl Loeffler, and Cathy "Kit" Loeffler; grandchildren, Stephanie Gutierez and Michelle Sinclair; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Alberta Danielson; and many special friends. Cally and Piper, "her girls" will miss Amy and their tasty treats.
Special thanks to the Excela Health Hospice nurses for their tender care.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Committal prayers and burial will follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Orphans of the Storm, Inc, PO Box 838, Route 85 East, Kittanning, PA 16201 or Pet Adoption League, 211 E. Pennsylvania Ave. New Stanton, PA 15672.
