Barbara R Evans

Barbara R. Evans, age 83, of McKeesport, died March 14, 2023, at Excela Health Westmoreland.  Born June 16, 1939, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Nellie Lanning and Hector Karabin and wife of the late Lee Evans.  Barbara enjoyed playing bingo and completing crossword puzzles.  She was an avid Elvis fan and traveled with her family to Memphis to visit Graceland.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family, and they will never forget her home-cooked meals such as rigatoni and stuffed cabbage.  Barbara also was a fan of the Chicago Med, Fire, and P.D. tv series, Judge Judy, and wrestling.  She is survived by children, Jim (Laura) Evans, Karen Fetherman, and Sharon Evans; grandchildren, Arnaldo "AJ" Scalfari, William (Ashley) Scalfari, Domenick (Leah) Scalfari, Michelle Evans, Lauren Evans, and Chad Vintovick; great-grandchildren, Gina, Mckenna, Sophie, Domenick, Izabella, and Mya; sisters, Kathy (Bob) Sacco, Sharon Chandler, and Donna Evans; nieces, Pat Gault and Michelle Gault; nephew, Joey Gault.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Scalfari; brother, Gary Evans; sister, Lois Neal.  Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will follow at Richland Cemetery.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com.  Chris Odasso, Supervisor
