Beatrice Welesko Obituary

Beatrice Welesko, age 95, of White Oak, died April 12, 2024, at The Pines of Mt. Lebanon. Born December 17, 1928, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Agnes (Kaminsky) Dembinski and wife of the late Stanley Dudek and the late Frank C. Welesko. 

Throughout her life, Beatrice was known for her great sense of humor and her strong relationships with her loved ones. She enjoyed cooking for her family, especially Wigilia, the traditional Polish Christmas Eve vigil supper. She loved listening and dancing to polka music and watching cooking shows and game shows on television, and she was a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates. Beatrice also was a member of the former St. Mary Czestochowa, now Mary, Mother of God, Parish, where she was a Christian Mother and enjoyed attending church dances and other church functions.

She is survived by her sons, Duane M. (Ruth) Welesko of Macon, GA, and Kenneth J. (Deborah) Welesko of McDonald, PA; daughter-in-law Susan Welesko of North Versailles, PA; grandchildren, Kevin Welesko, Kelly Welesko, David (Natalie) Welesko, Ashley (Jason) Reeves, Elizabeth Liebert and Rebekah Welesko; great-granddaughters, Ava Grace Reeves, Katherine Welesko, Lillian Liebert and Claire Liebert; nephews, David (Patti) Stash and Timothy (Jane) Stash, niece Darlene Sivak and many other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald Welesko, her sisters Dorothy (Frank) Stash and Martha (George) Sivak, and her nephew Thomas Sivak.

Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 4 to 6 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at St. Angela of Merici Church at 10 a.m. The committal service will follow at St. Mary Polish Cemetery.
