Obituary

Betty Jane (Handa) Cipicchio, age 91 of McKeesport, passed peacefully into the Lord's hands on August 3, 2020, at the home of her daughter. Born July 22, 1929, in Albany, LA, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Jeanette (Czap) Handa and the beloved wife of the late Ernest Cipicchio. She was a wonderful mom who took loving, exceptional care of her family. She helped with the care of her grandchildren and was a comfort to her loving husband in his greatest time of need. Betty was a member of Mary Mother of God Parish, Corpus Christi site. She had a friendly word for everyone she met, and she went by "Gram" to many. Betty was known for her great cooking, especially her homemade Hungarian and Italian dishes made at home and for special occasions.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Flora (Edward) Haley of Jennerstown, Gloria (Walter) Balogh of McKeesport and Denise (Jeffrey) Allen of Aubrey, TX; grandchildren, Brian (Jamie) Haley of Pittsburgh, Allison (Jonathan) Corbin of Mechanicsburg, Christina (Adam) Rose of Roanoke, VA, Jonathan Balogh of McKeesport, Kimberly (Blaine) Balogh of Monessen, Jared and Tristan Allen of Aubrey, TX; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Matthew Haley, Eleanor and Lily Corbin, Brenden, Presten and Jamisen Balogh, and Blaine Stinogle Jr. Surviving siblings are sister, Patricia (Howard) Moffat of New Boston, MI, and brother, Robert (Joann) Handa of Pittsburgh. She had many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by brothers, Joseph and Arthur Handa.
Arrangements were entrusted to Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory. There will be no visitation. A private graveside service will be held at St. Mary's German Cemetery in McKeesport.
