Cecelia Ann "Dolly" (Onufer) Downes

Cecelia Ann "Dolly" Downes, age 87, of Olathe, KS, formerly of White Oak, died October 25, 2021, at Villa St. Francis Catholic Care Center. Born October 4, 1934, in North Braddock, she was the daughter of the late Engelbert L. "Bert" and Cecelia J. (Visnansky) Onufer and the wife of the late John G. "Jack" Downes.
Dolly was a loving wife and mother that dedicated her life to caring for her family and providing support to others in the community. She was a Graduate of Divine Providence Academy Class of 1952 and attended the Earl Wheeler Modeling School from 1954 to 1955.
She is survived by her children, Coleen (Marty) Collins of New York City, Jack Downes of White Oak PA, Geralyn "Gigi" Downes-Wander of Port Charlotte FL, Brian Downes of Trafford PA, and Patricia (Alan) Nemeth of Palm Beach Gardens FL., and four grandchildren Daniel Smith, Nicole Smith, Thadeus Wander, and Hal Wander.  In addition to her husband and parents, Dolly was also preceded in death by her son Dennis Downes.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, October 31, 2021, from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021, at 12 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in All Saints Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
