Dorothy J. (Wise) Bishop

Dorothy J. Bishop, age 88, of White Oak, died September 24, 2021, at UPMC McKeesport. Born August 13, 1933, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Blanche (Olszewski) Wise and the wife of the late Martin "Marty" Bishop, Jr., for 50 years.
She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, where she was a Christian Mother. She was a graduate of Westinghouse High School. In her early years, she worked as a secretary at Westinghouse Electric of East Pittsburgh. Dorothy also worked at the former White Oak Marraccini's and the former Golden Rule. She enjoyed going for walks around her neighborhood and was a very loving and caring person.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Donald Bishop of Irwin; sister Dolores Mols of McKeesport; also many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Dorothy was also preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Wise.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, 10 a.m., at Corpus Christi Church. Burial will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery of Monroeville.
