Dortha Jonette (Grimenstein) Pearce

Dortha Jonette Pearce, age 68, of White Oak, died October 12, 2023 at Jefferson Hospital. Born March 11, 1955, in Clairton, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Marjorie (Patterson) Grimenstein and the wife of Richard Lee Pearce.

Dotty was a former Sunday School teacher at Saint Stephens Episcopal Church in McKeesport and loved the Lord with all her heart, mind, and soul. Her grandmother fueled this at a very early age, which is why she loved teaching children about God's love for them. She never lost faith or hope despite a lifetime of physical challenges. Dotty loved cooking and baking, scrapbooking, crafting, coloring, crocheting, collecting Teddy Bears, and taking care of her family or, as she called them, "her guys." She was truly a pearl of great price and will be dearly missed by her family

Dotty is survived by her son, Justin Lee Pearce of White Oak; step-sisters, Kayle Grimenstein of Clairton, Jaime Belliconish of Greenock, Karol Bates of Oklahoma, and Justina Conklin of Meadville; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lemuel and Sarah Leona Patterson.
