Harry E. Booth-Miller of McKeesport went home to rest with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, August 19, 2023. He was born May 5, 1946, in Homestead, PA, a son of Charles H. Booth and Ruth A. In 1966 Harry was drafted by the U.S. Army, and served in the 80th artillery battalion. Harry was awarded the National Defense Service Medal Sharpshooter. He also served in the Military Justice Defense Dept. against Sub ESPG.
After serving, Harry opened Complete Claim Service, as an all-lines Insurance Adjuster Service. Shortly thereafter, Harry earned his private detective license and Complete Claim Service also served as a private detective agency. In 1987 Harry was awarded Detective of the year by the Federal order of Police for his work on several homicides in Allegheny County. He was the first private citizen to receive this award and was most proud of the recognition. Harry was known as an extremely hard-working man. Working eighty plus hours per week was common. Harry had many business interests including the Discovery Film Production Company Pittsburgh, the Dairy Deli McKeesport, Vapor’s Lounge & Nightclub McKeesport, Play by Play Sports Pub Pompano Beach. Harry loved carpentry and building; a son of a carpenter, Harry built several homes and commercial properties. Harry retired to Florida and later returned home to McKeesport; the city he missed.
