Helen J. Gibala

Helen J. Gibala, age 95, of McKeesport, died October 10, 2018, at Transitions Health Care of North Huntingdon. Born April 10, 1923, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Roman and Magdalen (Plaza) Gibala. Helen was retired from UPMC McKeesport Hospital , where she worked in the billing department. She was a member of Corpus Christi Church. Helen enjoyed bingo and trips to Poland. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Helen is survived by her nephews, Stanley Francis Gibala of Dubois, PA, Theodore (Jacqueline) Gibala of North Huntingdon and Thomas (Judith) Gibala of McKeesport; niece, Patricia (Jerome) Tomaszewski of North Versailles; also many other nieces; nephews; great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Helen was also preceded in death by siblings, Michael Edward, Walter Peter, Stanley Joseph, Sister Emanuel (Antonina), Caroline Barbara and Helen Joan. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on October 12, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, 12 p.m., at Corpus Christi Church. Father Steven M. Palsa will be the celebrant. Committal will follow in St. Mary Polish Cemetery.
