John F. McArdle

John F. McArdle on June 4, 2023, age 77, of McKeesport.  Born June 27, 1945, in Pittsburgh, he was was the son of the late John G. and Eva (Froelich) McArdle and husband of Jo Ann McArdle.  John was a retired Union Carpenter and member of Union Carpenter Local 432.  He was also a member of the Pitcairn-Monroeville Sportsmen’s Club.  John was an outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time at his camp in Smethport hunting and fishing.  He cherished fishing with his grandchildren and taught from a young age at Indian Lake.  John joined the Army in 1965 and spent time in Germany before his honorable discharge in 1967.  In addition to his wife, he is also survived by children, John (Sue) McArdle and Charlene (Ryan) Swauger; grandchildren, Shaun (Aaron) Mikluscak, Katlin McArdle, Kyrstin Swauger, and Ryan Swauger, Jr.; great-grandsons, Elvis and Waylon Mikluscak.  He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Kathleen Firek, Robert (Linda) McArdle, Joseph (Charmaine) McArdle, Patricia (Carmen) Scuilli, Arlene Opat, Gerard (Cathy Jean) McArdle, Daniel (Pam) McArdle, nieces, nephews and cousins.  John was also preceded in death by a sister Norah Davis and brother-n-laws Gerald T. Firek, Timothy Kozlowski and David Opat.  Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, June 8, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday, June 9, 2023, from 9 to 10 a.m.  Military honors will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Pittsburgh.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com.  Chris Odasso, Supervisor
