Marcella M. (Sharp) Szymarek

Marcella M. Szymarek, age 91, of New Stanton, formerly of McKeesport, died May 4, 2021, at Redstone Presbyterian SeniorCare.  Born June 9, 1929, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Tomkowitz) Sharp and wife of the late Walter Szymarek.
Marcella was a past member of the Christian Mother and Rosary Society of St. Mary Czestochowa.  She was an accomplished baker and was known for fantastic bread.  She also enjoyed sewing hats and had even thought about becoming a seamstress.
She is survived by children, Rose (Jeffrey) Munnell, of New Stanton, Michael (Susan) Szymarek, of Kittanning, Carol Benedict, of Greensburg, and Cynthia (Ronald) Lindberg, of West Newton; grandchildren, Jason (Nikki) Benedict, Rebecca (Josh) McHugh, Jennifer (John) Christopholous, Robert Ferrence, Amanda (Michael) Bayne, Luke Munnell, and Michael Szymarek; great-grandchildren, Mitchell, Lily, Maura, Bradley, and Sophia; brother, Frank (Ruth) Sharp.  
She was also preceded in death by brothers Edwin (Marie) Sharp and Edmund Sharp and a sister Loretta Sharp.
Arrangements were entrusted to Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory.
