Mary Jane Chemsak, age 89, of McKeesport, died November 1, 2023, at AHN Jefferson Hospital. Born April 29, 1934, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late John and Susan (Rasco) Chemsak. Mary Jane was a member and cantor at Saint Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church, the McKeesport Garden Club, and volunteered at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. She enjoyed needlework, crafting, reading, building full size doll houses, and playing piano. Mary Jane loved to travel the world and had even taken flying lessons. She was an avid football and golf fan and played golf for many years. Mary Jane is survived by a sister, Suzanne (Paul) Ross; sister-in-law, Alice Dean Chemsak; nieces, Karen (Craig) Lachappell, Kimberly Chemsak, Catherine Anne (Robert) Price, and Jennifer (Michael) Ross Voila; nephews, Jeffrey (Adrienne) Ross and Timothy (Holly) Ross. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, John Chemsak. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, November 5, 2023, from 2 to 5 p.m. with a Panachida Service at 4 p.m. The Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023, at 10:30 a.m., at Saint Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church.
