Patricia H. (Petach) Babcock

Patricia H. Babcock, age 88, of White Oak, died September 12, 2022, at UPMC East Hospital of Monroeville. Born December 27, 1933, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Mary (Buckiso) Petach and the wife of Robert E. Babcock.
Patricia worked throughout her life as a nurse retiring from Jeannette District Memorial Hospital, mostly working at Magee Womens Hospital where she was an accomplished Nursing Director for many years. She was a member of The St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church of McKeesport. Patricia was also a member of the Pittsburgh Literacy Council and was a board member for many nursing organizations. 
She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, cooking, and participating in church events throughout her lifetime. 
In addition to her husband, Patricia is survived by her son, David Keats Collura of Elizabeth, PA; her daughter-in-law, Joanne Collura; children Bruce R. (Laura) Babcock of Mechanicsburg, PA, and Elizabeth Babcock of Houston, PA; grandchildren, Christina Collura of MD and Angela (Ahren) Collura Ames of NY; great-grandchildren, Liana, Darren, Bennett, and Lucy; previous husband, Lawrence Collura of Scott Township, PA; sister-in-law, Elaine Petach of NY; also many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Along with her parents, Patricia was also preceded in death by her previous husband, Andrew Salitros; siblings, Ethel Frankel, Margaret Petach, Marian Petach, and Basil Petach; and nephews, Peter Petach and Charles Frankel. 
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial Mass of Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery.
