Ronald Rybka Obituary

Ronald E. "Rip" Rybka, age 84, of Port Vue, died September 2, 2020, at home. Born May 22, 1936, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Casper and Sofia (Osolinski) Rybka and the husband of Cheryl A. (Halvaty) Rybka for over 54 years.
Ronald was retired from the former G.C. Murphy and Ames Co., where he was a high lift operator. After retirement, he continued to work as a security guard with Magic Creations Warehouse on the same property. He was very proud to be employed on the same property for over 60 years. Ronald was a US Army veteran serving from 1958 to 1960 at Fort Devins, Ayer, MA as an M48 tank driver and heavy weapons specialist. He was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, currently Corpus Christi Church, formerly St. Mary Czestochowa Church. Ronald was also a member of the McKeesport Sportsmen's Association and loved hunting and fishing. He was an avid tomato gardener, always proud of his Celebrity tomatoes. Ronald will be remembered by his grandchildren as the best "Pappy," ever. He always supported them and attended every event he could. Ronald was a family man, always putting family first above all.
In addition to his wife, Ronald is survived by his children, Lori (Stephen) Mikolay of North Versailles, and Michelle Cugliari of Allison Park; grandchildren, Erica (Daniel) Dougherty of Marshfield, MA, Amanda Mikolay of Wallingford, CT, Samuel Mikolay of North Versailles, Julia and Roman Cugliari both of Allison Park; many nieces and nephews; also his 14-year old cat, "Miss Kitty."
Along with his parents, Ronald was also preceded in death by his sisters, Cecilia Rybka, Helen Gall, Lucille Castor, Laura James, Virginia Macey, Bertha Natale, Dorothy "Dolores" Marcinko, and Annette Zyma.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday, September 7, 2020, from Noon to 5 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, 10 a.m., at Corpus Christi Church. Committal prayers, military honors, and burial will follow in St. Mary's Polish Cemetery.
A heartfelt thanks to Interim hospice and their employees for all the support at this difficult time.
With the love and support of daughters, Lori, Michelle, and son-in-law, Steve, Ronald was able to have the best gift ever by being surrounded by his family at home. We could not have made it without them.
