Ruth M. Mansfield

Ruth M. Mansfield, age 85, of McKeesport, passed away on June 3, 2023.  Born October 10, 1937, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Jablonski) Englert and the beloved wife of the late Frank H. "Bumper" Mansfield, who passed away on June 22, 2010.  Ruth graduated from McKeesport High School in 1955 and the McKeesport Hospital School of Nursing in 1958.  She worked for McKeesport Hospital Nursing Services and Mercy Nursing Connections.  Ruth kept in contact with her classmates from nursing school, meeting them monthly for lunch for many years.  She was a member of the First Evangelical Free Church in McKeesport.  Ruth is survived by children, Lynn Mansfield, of Sewickley, James (Kimberley) Mansfield, of Springville, NY, and Robert (Holly) Mansfield, of North Huntingdon; grandchildren, Leonard Polinski, of Sewickley, Alexandra (Bryan) Horchar, of Gibsonia.  Morgan Mansfield, of Buffalo, NY, Jessica Mansfield, of Springville, NY, Travis (Grace) Mansfield, of Springville, NY, Zachary (Leah) Mansfield, of Irwin, and Shallyn Mansfield, of North Huntingdon; great-grandchildren, Jensen Horchar and River Mansfield; brothers, Joe (Karen) Englert and Dr. Tom (Roni) Englert; sisters, Eloisa Mitchell, Sally (Robert) Lagas, and Edwina (Harry) Davenport.  She is also survived by nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Eva (John) Beeson; brother, Alvin (Jaci) Englert; brother-in-law, John Mitchell.  The services will be private.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the First Evangelical Free Church, 4001 University Dr. McKeesport, PA 15132.  Chris Odasso, Supervisor
