Stella N. Sotereanos

Stella N. Sotereanos, age 86, of McKeesport, died September 4, 2022, at UPMC Passavant. Born October 20, 1935, in Rhodes, Greece, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Paraskevi (Papaconstantiniou) Katsakis.
Stella retired from the former Grandview Saloon of Mt. Washington, where she was the manager for over 20 years. She was a member of Annunciation of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church of White Oak. Stella was also a proud member of the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and entertaining.
Stella is survived by her children, Dr. Dean (Dr. Donna) Sotereanos of Hampton, PA, Dr. Nicholas (Dr. Barbara Mondik) Sotereanos of McKeesport, and Anastasia "Stacey" Sotereanos of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Alexis (Derek) Hamblan, Dr. George (Stephanie) Sotereanos, Gregory (Gabby) Sotereanos, Stella Sotereanos, Michael Sotereanos, and Nicole Sotereanos; great-grandchildren, Peyton and Tatum Hamblan; sister, Mary Katsakis of White Oak; also many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Stella was also preceded in death by her brothers, Steven, Anthony, and Michael Katsakis.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral home & Crematory on Thursday, September 8, 2022, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, at 10 a.m., in Annunciation of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church. Committal prayers and burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
