Valerie (Galka) Rozzi

Valerie Rozzi (nee Galka), age 93, a resident of Avon Lake, OH, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at New Life Hospice of Lorain, OH.  She was born November 7, 1927, in Port Vue, PA., and was the daughter of the late John and Sophie Galka and wife of the late Olindo Rozzi for 58 years.
Valerie retired from Continental Can and remained lifelong friends with her coworkers.  She was a member of Christian Heritage Church, Avon.  Valerie loved all animals.  She enjoyed watching and feeding birds and also fed all the stray cats in her neighborhood.  
She is survived by step-son Paul (Diane) Rozzi of North Huntingdon, PA; grandsons Michael and Jared of North Huntingdon, PA; sister, Dorothy Stewart, of Levittown, PA and a niece Patti Liebowitz of San Antonio, TX.
She was also preceded in death by sisters Sophie Stone, Bernice Kalpolka, and brother Michael Galka.  
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel Entombment will follow at New St. Joseph Cemetery.
