Viola Cornell Obituary

Viola A. Cornell, age 95, of McKeesport, died June 18, 2020, at Concordia of Monroeville.  Born February 16, 1925, in Mckeesport, she was the daughter of the late John and Ann (Storch) McClure and the wife of the late Charles H. Cornell.  Voila lived most of her life on 28th St. in Christy Park.  She was always dedicated to taking care of her family.  She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, formerly St. Patrick Church.  She is survived by sons, Harry C. (Lorraine) Cornell and Jay P. (Mindy Pierce) Cornell; granddaughters, Kathleen (David) Rasel and Kerry (Robert) Parker; great-grandchildren, Collin and Logan Parker and Chaise Rasel, and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by sisters, Alberta Miller and Irene Sprentz.  Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church.  Entombment will follow at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com
