Virgina Grese Obituary

Virginia A. "Gidge" Grese, age 85, of Port Vue, died April 27, 2020, at home. Born February 19, 1935, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late John and Josephine (Muha) Traczynski and the wife of Samuel Grese. Gidge was a retired self-employed Owner and Operator of Virginia Grese Barber Shop of Port Vue, for over 45 years. Her greatest joy was spending time with family. In addition to her husband, Gidge is survived by her son, Jay (Kimberly) Lang of McKeesport; grandchildren, Michael (Claudia), Jason, Amanda, and Nick; great-grandchildren, Samuel, Lily, Rose, Hayden, and Lilah; siblings, John (Julia) Traczynski, Maxine Sherwood, and Ruth Stoffiere; also nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, David E. Lang. Arrangements were entrusted to Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial service will be celebrated at a later date.
