Virginia Miller Obituary

Virginia E. Miller, 87, formerly of White Oak, died September 14, 2020, at Forbes Hospital. She was born April 9, 1933, in McKeesport, a daughter of the late William S. and Bessie (Smock) Webb and wife of the late Irving Miller, who died in 2019.
Virginia will be greatly missed for her good nature and concern for others. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who often followed an “I Love You” with “I Love you more”. She was a hard worker who had been employed on the brick gang at United States Steel and as a health care aid, retiring from Kane Hospital in 1998.
She loved travel, being in the woods, and spending time with family. She enjoyed her friends from the Senior Center and Point Pleasant, as well as the view from her apartment kitchen window, often sending pictures of spectacular sunrises. Following a stroke, her last month was spent in the wonderful care of the rehabilitation team at Forbes Hospital. She worked hard and made great progress until heaven unexpectedly called for her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with.
She is survived by daughters, Sandra Verbanick, of White Oak, Cindy Calhoun of Martinsburg, WV and Penny Romano of Brownsville, PA; her grandsons, Edward Verbanick, Christopher and Jeffrey Pastore, Steve Karan, Rick Romano; 9 great-grandchildren; as well as her step-son, General Robert Miller of DC.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Zawalish; sisters, Irene Seibert, Evaline Lieber, and Erma Barno and brothers William Edward, Robert Donald, and Richard S. Webb.
The Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home and Crematory will handle her final arrangements. In keeping with her nature, funeral services will be private.
