Charles W. “Chuckie” Marr, III., age 64, of Pittsburgh, died May 28, 2016, at Manor Care of Green Tree. Born April 13, 1952, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Charles W., Jr. and Emma (Sofsky) Marr.

Chuckie lived a productive life for 28 years as a resident of Mainstay in Green Tree, where he met his best friends.

His physical handicap never kept him down, he went on many trips and participated in events. He especially enjoyed playing old vinyl 45’s from the 60’s. He also enjoyed DVD's, his favorites were the Adam’s Family, the Munsters and the Little Rascals. The character Popeye the Sailor Man was always close to him as well. His favorite holiday was Christmas, even though he couldn’t speak, he knew the words Ho! Ho! Ho!, represented Santa Claus and that it was time to give and receive presents. Chuckie’s favorite meals were cheese pizza, chicken and he loved to drink milk.

Chuckie is now reunited in heaven with his parents and favorite brother Richard “Dick,” whom helped raise him after his father’s death. We are sure he’s sharing stories about his life and best friends Michael and Marquis. Chuckie is now at peace with no pain, he is in heaven with God and his family.

Chuckie is survived by a sister; Dorothy (Ted) Kuharski, brother; Walter Scott (Connie) Marr,  half sister; Nancy Fox Hellinger of Mexico, NY, favorite niece and nephews; Susan and Wes Frank, Thad Kuharski, Jr.; girlfriend Crystal Keeney, many other nieces, nephews and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, Chuckie was preceded in death by a half sister, Betty Jane (Joseph) Faychak; brother Richard Earl Robinson.

Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Church, Thursday at 1 p.m., with Fr. Michael Maranowski as celebrant. Committal will follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Mainstay Life Services, 200 Roessler Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15205.

Chuckie’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you, to Jeff Swanson, Elizabeth, Jerry, Dave and the entire staff of Mainstay Life Services, for the kind and compassionate care provided.
