Rose Dukic, age 87 of McKeesport, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 11, 2015 at Southwestern Nursing Center. Born August 14, 1928 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Carmine and Rosa (Villela) Tomaino and beloved wife of the late Ted Dukic. She is survived by her son, Robert (Debbie) Dukic, of Jefferson Hills; grandchildren, Jamie (Joel) Volturno and Justen Dukic, both of Charlotte, NC, Megan (Alex) Poplawsky, of Regent Square, Kelly Dukic, of Southside, and Dana Dukic, of Jefferson Hills; great-grandchildren, Julian and Jenna Volturno, Jaxson Fife, and Scarlett and Eve Poplawsky; daughter-in-law, Pam Keffer; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Ted Dukic, Jr.; and siblings, Steve (Mary), Joe (Ann), Carmine, and Theresa Tomaino, Mary (John) Molinaro, and Pauleen (Phil) Marasco. She loved her children and grandchildren ("Little Angels") with all of her heart and always chose to put them first. Loved by many nieces, nephews, and friends, Rose always had a warm smile, a kind word, and a loving memory to share with anyone she came to know. Thank you to those who have helped care for her over the last several months, and a special thank you to her caregivers, Heather and C.C. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, November 13, 2015 from 2-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Parish, Christy Park. Fr. Vincent P. Velas will officiate. Entombment will be private in Butler County Memorial Park.
