We were so sad to hear this news. Skip was always a kind and gentle soul and loved all of his family so deeply. I still see his painting of Jesus at my mom and dad's house and am reminded of him all the time. He will be missed. We're saying prayers for him and for Aunt Julie and Sandy as well.

Just heartbroken, hearing about the loss of this gentle soul. Skip was so loved, and kind. His life wasn't always easy, but his caring and sharing of his spirit is something no one who knew him will ever forget. Farewell Skip, rest in the arms of our lord Jesus Christ, who you honored with every moment you spent on this Earth, which were too few, indeed.

Praying and requesting prayers for the strength and comfort to his mom, my Aunt Julia Rusin, and his sister Sandra at this horrible time. May God please pour his love and comfort down upon them and give them the ability to cope with his loss, and grant them peace of mind somehow.

Sending much love to you all....

I was so saddened to hear of Skip's death. My parish will be remembering him at all the Masses this weekend.

Visits to McKeesport were always filled with family, fun and hospitality. It was wonderful seeing Skip's devotion to his family. He was such a loving, gentle man.

My prayers are with you.

I will always remember Skip as a gentle and loving person, with intense curiosity about radio announcing and Pittsburgh sports teams.
As I think back on the challenges he faced in life, having experienced a brain injury at a young age, it is remarkable that conversations with him never included how this event changed the options he had for his life, or the limitations and difficulties he currently faced as a result. Instead, you could count on Skip to describe whatever current event or activity won his attention.
It seemed to me that Skip stepped up as he could after Uncle Andy's death to look out for his mother. He was a kind, good, and caring person. He lived his life so fully. Thank you, Skip. I hold you in my heart and will miss you.
