Growing up with our cousins Virginia, Janice, Joyce, Patti & Cyndy when we were little brings back such great memories. We always hung out at Aunt Ellamae & Uncle Gino's house. There were so many kids running around & she was always a force of managing everything, fairness & laughter. One thing for sure, she & Uncle Gino always made us kids feel loved. Luckily, they had the foresight to take lots of pictures & home movies that have now turned into family treasures.
My mom, Betty (her older sister) was so happy to talk to her (through Joyce), a few days before she passed away, reminiscing about when THEY were young girls growing up. They had a special bond.
It's heartbreaking to know that in her efforts to fight & hold onto life, that she had to have suffered alot. Thank you, my cousins for taking such good care of her. It's not easy being a caregiver. Love to you all.
Rest In Peace Aunt Ellamae. We all love you & will remember your beautiful smile. We can only hope & pray that you are headed to a different Sherbine Way where you can reunite with Uncle Gino, Virginia, Sean, & anyone else who was important to you & has past on. I hope you are all gathering together, laughing & are finally free of pain & disease.
