I just opened the Facebook link for the local obituaries & saw Miss LaVerne's name. As I sit here alone crying, I read further that I missed the visitation & service! I am so sorry for your loss. For all who she touched have lost a truly amazing & inspiring woman. She had 3 of my 4 children in PVUM Pre-school & made a big impact on them and me! She was in Buster's in WO recently one evening & after speaking with her, I had that same good, warm feeling inside that she always left me with so many years ago. My children are all grown, & I have loads of grandkids now. The minute she left Buster's, I immediately let my kids know that I had just visited with Miss LaVerne! I wish my youngest son could've gone to PVUM & had her, too, but by the time he was in pre-school he had to go to DRUM instead. Your family has my deepest sympathy during this difficult time.

I am so sorry and saddened to hear this. Have so many great memories of Laverne when we were young Shonna. Used to visit her a lot when I lived above her on Capitol. Prayers for peace and comfort for all the family.
