Just now finding out about her death, I was saddened to learn of it. Sending my childhood and growing up living across the street from the Akerberg family was as good a neigborhood surrounding as any young boy could have. She was always friendly, kind, supportive, and offered insights and advice when asked. I am very glad and thankful that I was able to visit with her twice several years ago while on trips back to White Oak to visit my own family. Wonderful memories of her will go on for lifetimes! Sympathy and condolences to the family on the loss, who will miss her terribly, but who will also forever remember her love, graciousness, and presence.
