Alfred R. “Bob” Lapsley III, 57 of Driftwood, PA died April 22, 2016 at UPMC McKeesport.  Born September 2, 1958 in McKeesport, he was the son of Gwendolyn “Gay” and the late Alfred R. Lapsley, Jr., and the loving husband of Susan (Saylor) Lapsley.  Bob worked as a logger, wrote a column for the Cameron County Echo, and went on to work as a railroad engineer for Norfolk Southern, where he was in the BLET Local 325 Union.  In the mid 80’s, he was known as “Buffalo Bob” and was active as a player and later coach for the Port Vue Athletic Association.  He was a Borough Councilman for Cameron County, and had a great love of the outdoors.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sports.  He was a great, loving, and understanding man who could build anything.  In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Kimberly Kunes, Michael Sweet, Grant Sweet, Walter Brennen Dills, and Aaron Michael Lapsley; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Rick (Sue) Lapsley; brother-in-law Michael (Marsha) Saylor, and also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by sister, Catherine Lapsley; grandparents, Joseph and Virginia Speelman and Alfred and Catherine Lapsley.  Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7 p.m.
